Carla Weatherill. EBU Training Ltd Director

Conference and Course Organiser

Carla has organised and facilitated courses on European Funding for over six years through EBU Training Limited and also at the European Briefing Unit, University of Bradford. She has vast experience of co-ordinating and organising a whole host of activities and her company Green Frog Events is the venue finder and booking agent for all EBU Training Ltd courses.

 

Michelle Adam, EBU Training Ltd Director

Conference and Course Organiser

Michelle has extensive experience of co-ordinating and organising a variety of training activities. She has over five years experience gained through the European Briefing Unit, University of Bradford and over five years experience of managing training events and product launches within the automotive industry for some of the world's largest motor manufacturers. Michelle is also a director of Green Frog Events Ltd.

Anne Eastwood, EBU Training Ltd Director

Course Trainer and Facilitator

Anne has considerable experience in the management and delivery of EU and national funded programmes and projects derived through employment in the Training and Enterprise Council sector which included a secondment to a Government Office's European Secretariat. With comprehensive experience of the skills and business support agenda, she continues to remain up to date on policies and practices relating to Government and EU issues whilst retaining hands-on experience through project and contract management. Freelance and director of Kalliopi Associates Ltd, Anne's clients extend throughout Great Britain and Europe.

 

Margareta Holmstedt

Course Trainer and Facilitator

Margareta is a well regarded expert in all areas of European Union policy and particularly its many funded Programmes. Since 1989 she was the Head of the European Briefing Unit, at the University of Bradford which specialised in delivering short, residential courses on all aspects of EU funding (overview of EU funds, bid-writing, project management, project finances, evaluation, state aids) all over the UK as well as in Sweden and occasionally other Member States. The Unit delivered a number of courses per week throughout the year and also delivered bespoke staff training to organisations with EU-funded projects. Now semi-retired, Margareta continues to share her wealth of experience through EBU Training Ltd.

 

Stefan Sykes

Course Trainer and Facilitator

Now self employed following public sector service, Stefan is a resourceful, socially astute and innovative person who has strengths in communication, lateral problem-solving and engaging partnerships. With a scientific background and degree in Physiology, a PGCE for FE in Biology and an MBA at Leeds, Stefan is able to relate to a range of sectors and situations. His last employed-work role was in the higher education sector bringing partners together for collaborative projects across the Yorkshire and Humber region and beyond many of which were funded through ERDF and ESF investments. Combined with third sector experience, Stefan is a valuable asset to the EBU Training portfolio.

 

Vincent O’Connell

Course Trainer and Facilitator

Vincent has worked with EU-funded projects for more than a decade. He has gained extensive knowledge and experiance of both domestic and transnational programmes over that time. His expertise extends across a wide range of EU programmes on diverse themes, with which he has worked on behalf of the public, private and voluntary sectors. He sits on a number of scoring panels and expert groups related to EU funding schemes and continues to advise widely on project planning, development and delivery.

 

Andrew Metcalf

Course Trainer and Facilitator

Andrew is a change management and programme/project management specialist with 20 years experience in leading major projects and programmes in complex business environments. He has worked for leading consultancies - Deloittes, Coopers & Lybrand, PwC and IBM and is now a Kalliopi associate. A Certified PRINCE2 and MSP Practitioner, and a member of the Association of Project Management he has developed a number of tailored training courses, to suit varying client needs, all the way from a half-day introductory course, to a three-day course focused on transformational programme management in government.
